American Express Travel is launching a pilot program for a new vacation rental service called Select Homes + Retreats. The service complements the brand’s existing offerings, Fine Hotels + Resorts and Hotel Collection.
Travel Weekly reports that currently, only a select group of consumer and small business Platinum Card members have access to the program. It provides premium accommodations in popular destinations across the United States, including San Diego, California, Vail and Beaver Creek in Colorado, Orlando and the Florida Panhandle in Florida, Maui, Park City, Utah, and Cape Cod, Massachusetts.
American Express Travel has teamed up with several vacation rental management firms to deliver the service. Current partners include Vacasa, Moving Mountains, Island Escapes, Casiola Vacation Homes, Bluewater, Panhandle Getaways, Maui Paradise Properties, and East West Hospitality Group. Expect more partners to join as the program expands.
American Express Travel has enabled cardholders to earn additional points on bookings such as flights, hotels, car rentals, cruises, and more. Its Fine Hotels + Resorts program [Amex FHR] features over 1,300 high-end and independent hotels worldwide. Available to holders of Amex Platinum, Business Platinum, and Centurion-branded American Express cards, it offers elite level hotel benefits like complimentary breakfasts, room upgrades, free wifi, late checkouts, and additional credits.
American Express Travel’s Hotel Collection connects Gold Card members with numerous advantages in more than 700 upscale hotels globally. These include spending credits on dining, spa, and resort activities, as well as room upgrades on arrival where eligible.
